Group Life Coaching & Creative Well-Being Program

Session 1: Recognizing and Expressing Emotions

Date: April 26, 2026

Our first Hands at Work, Heart in Presence gathering focused on the importance of recognizing, understanding, and expressing emotions as a foundation for self-awareness and well-being.

Participants were invited to bring a meaningful object or image and engaged in a Blind Contour Drawing exercise, encouraging observation, presence, and a release from perfectionism. The creative process continued with mindful coloring, offering space for reflection and personal expression.

As participants worked on their artwork, we explored different types of emotions and discussed the role emotional awareness plays in our daily lives and relationships. Participants were introduced to practical tools for increasing emotional awareness and shared their own experiences, insights, and questions in a supportive group setting.

The combination of creative activity and guided conversation fostered a warm and compassionate atmosphere where participants could connect more deeply with themselves and one another. The session concluded with a brief meditation, allowing time for reflection and integration.

Session 2: Living Through Crisis and Building Resilience

Date: May 23, 2026

The second Hands at Work, Heart in Presence gathering focused on exploring resilience, navigating uncertainty, and staying connected to ourselves during times of crisis and change.

Participants began the session with a grounding meditation and were invited to share their feelings and reflections before engaging in the creative practice. The activity involved drawing lines simultaneously with both the left and right hands, encouraging participants to move beyond familiar patterns of control and perfection and to embrace a more intuitive and open creative process.

Through this practice, participants explored the experience of being present with uncertainty and allowing something unexpected to emerge. The creative process became a reflection of resilience—learning to work with what appears, adapt to change, and gradually shape uncertainty into something meaningful.

As participants developed their artwork, the group discussion focused on the emotional and physical impacts of crisis, the meaning of resilience, and practical ways to strengthen inner resources. Conversations explored the importance of accepting difficult realities, maintaining supportive routines, caring for physical well-being, and finding meaning even during challenging experiences.

The combination of creative expression and guided conversation created a supportive space where participants could reflect, connect, and share personal insights. The session concluded with a closing meditation and an opportunity for participants to share their experiences and feelings at the end of the gathering.

We look forward to continuing this journey together in our next session.
